Data protection

The following information explains how we collect personal data when you use our website.

The term “personal data” refers to all data that can be related to you personally. This includes, for example, your name, address, email addresses, and user behaviour. For all other terms, particularly “processing” and “consent”, we refer to the legal definitions set out in data protection legislation.

We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as the content and services we offer. Personal data is generally processed only if you have given your consent or if processing is permitted by legal provisions.

Your personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Data may also be stored if required by national or European regulations to which we are subject. In such cases, the data will be deleted or blocked once the legally prescribed retention period has expired, unless further storage is required for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract. If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our website or wish to use your data for marketing purposes, we will inform you in detail below about the respective processes.

Processing of Personal Data When Visiting Our Website

When you visit our website without registering or otherwise providing information (“informational use”), we only collect the personal data that your web browser transmits to our server. When you view our website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security:

  • IP address

  • Date and time of the request

  • Time zone difference to GMT

  • Content of the website

  • Access status (HTTP status)

  • Amount of data transmitted

  • Website from which you accessed our site

  • Web browser

  • Operating system

  • Language and version of the browser

These data are also stored in so-called log files on our servers. This data is not stored together with any other personal data.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform through which we can present our products and services. Your data may be stored via Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and general applications. They store your data on secure servers protected by a firewall.

Temporary storage of the IP address is necessary to enable our website to be displayed on your device. For this, your IP address must be stored for the duration of your visit. Storing the data in log files ensures the functionality and optimisation of our website, as well as the security of our IT systems. The data is not evaluated for marketing purposes. Our legitimate interest in data processing lies in these purposes.

The data collected to provide our website are deleted when the respective session ends. Collection and temporary storage of this data are essential for operating the website; therefore, there is no possibility to object.

Processing of Personal Data Through Cookies

We use “cookies” on our website. Cookies are small text files stored on your device’s storage medium (for example, on a hard drive) that allow certain information to be transmitted to us as the entity setting the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programmes or transmit viruses to your device.

This website uses the following types of cookies:

Transient cookies: These are automatically deleted when you close your web browser. These include session cookies, which store a session ID that allows various browser requests to be assigned to a single session. This enables your device to be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

Persistent cookies: These are automatically deleted after a defined period, which can vary depending on the cookie. You can delete these cookies at any time in your browser settings.

The processing of personal data through cookies makes our website more user-friendly and efficient. Some website functions cannot be offered without cookies, as they require the browser to be recognised after page changes. Data collected through cookies necessary for website functionality are not used to create user profiles. If cookies are used for analytical purposes, they serve to improve the quality and usability of our website, its content, and its functions. This enables us to understand how the site and its features are used and to continuously improve our offering.

Our legitimate interest in processing data through cookies lies in these purposes.

Cookies are stored on your device and transmitted to our server. You can therefore configure the processing of cookies yourself in your browser settings—for example, by rejecting third-party cookies or all cookies entirely. Please note that in this case you may not be able to use all website functions properly. We also recommend regularly deleting cookies and your browser history manually.

Additional Functions and Services on Our Website

In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you may use if interested. In these cases, the provision of additional personal data is usually required, which we use to deliver the respective service. The general principles of data processing set out above apply.

We may engage carefully selected and supervised external service providers to process this data. These service providers act according to our instructions and are regularly monitored. If personal data is passed on to third parties as part of joint services, you can find more detailed information in the respective service descriptions below. Where these third parties are based outside the European Economic Area, we will inform you of the implications of this in the relevant service descriptions.

Contact

When you contact us by email or contact form, we store the personal data you provide in order to process your enquiry. The processing of this personal data serves solely to handle your request. You may object to the storage of your personal data at any time. Please note that in such cases, we will not be able to continue processing your enquiry. The objection can be made by sending an email to the address listed in our legal notice.

Google Analytics

We use “Google Analytics”, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google uses cookies that enable analysis of website usage. The information generated by the cookie is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within the European Union or in other states party to the European Economic Area agreement. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website on our behalf, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet use. Pseudonymous usage profiles may be created from the processed data. Your IP address will not be merged with other Google data. We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymisation enabled. This means that Google processes your IP address only in a shortened form, which excludes personal identification.

We use Google Analytics to analyse and improve our website and user experience. The statistical evaluation of user behaviour helps us make our offer more relevant and engaging. This constitutes our legitimate interest in data processing.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings. However, doing so may limit some website functions. You can also prevent Google’s collection and processing of data related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at:
http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google to ensure compliance with data protection laws. For cases in which data is transferred to the USA, Google has certified under the EU–US Privacy Shield framework. Further information:

LinkedIn

This website uses functions provided by LinkedIn, offered by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. When using the integrated “follow” function, you will be redirected to LinkedIn and your LinkedIn profile may become visible to other users. During this process, data is transmitted to LinkedIn. We have no control over, or detailed knowledge of, the data collected and processed by LinkedIn. Further information can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

SSL Encryption

To ensure the security of your data during transmission, we use SSL encryption via HTTPS, in line with current technical standards.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time, so please review it regularly. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon publication on the website. If we make significant changes, we will notify you here so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may disclose it.

Would you like me to make this version fit the IN-VISIBLE website tone and layout (e.g. slightly less legalistic and more reader-friendly while remaining compliant)? It would then match your brand voice better.
